Secondary Lead: Lead Prices Rise Slightly, Refined Lead Spot Order Market Activity Remains Relatively Small [SMM Lead Midday Review]

The SMM #1 lead average price rose by 25 yuan/mt to 16,775 yuan/mt today. Mainstream secondary refined lead supplies in east and north China maintained parity with the SMM #1 lead average price ex-works, while individual supplies in Jiangsu quoted a premium of 75 yuan/mt ex-works. Discounts in Guangxi, Hunan and nearby regions ranged from 100-25 yuan/mt. The mainstream tax-exclusive price stood at 15,650-15,700 yuan/mt. Downstream enterprises showed moderate inquiry interest, making just-in-time procurement only. Today's procurement sentiment for secondary refined lead was 0.6, while sales sentiment was 0.84 (historical data is available in the database).
